Delete your data
Last updated
You can delete your TimeBud account and your data yourself. It takes a minute, and you don't need to ask us.
Delete your account
- Open TimeBud on the web or in the iOS app.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Deleting an account cannot be undone.
What happens
- You are signed out on every device, and sign-in is blocked at once.
- A web subscription is cancelled right away.
- Google and Apple sign-in and calendar access are revoked.
- Your stored files and all your personal data are removed. This runs in the background and usually takes a few minutes, and in any case within 30 days at most.
What we keep
- Billing records, as long as tax law requires.
- AI usage records, without your user ID, so they no longer identify you.
- Backups, for up to 90 days. Then they are deleted.
If you have an Apple subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in Apple settings:
- On your iPhone, open Settings.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Choose TimeBud, then Cancel Subscription.
The app also shows you how. Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases under its own process.
Delete only some things
You don't have to delete everything. You can:
- Clear your Bud chat. Use "Clear chat" in the Bud chat screen.
- Delete missions, jobs and captures in the app. A voice clip is deleted once it has been transcribed and your capture is filed. We keep only the text. A clip left over, for example after a failed capture, is deleted within 24 hours.
- Turn off AI in Profile. Bud then stops using AI.
- Turn off analytics with the "Usage analytics" switch in Profile, or "Cookie settings" on the website.
- Turn off marketing email in Profile, under Announcements, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Disconnect Google Calendar
- Go to Profile, then Calendar and alerts.
- Under Google Calendar, choose Disconnect.
TimeBud gives up its access at Google and deletes all the Google Calendar data it stored. The "TimeBud" calendar stays in your Google account. You can delete it in Google Calendar.
You can also remove TimeBud's access in your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. The data TimeBud already stored stays until you press Disconnect in TimeBud or delete your account.
Deleting your TimeBud account deletes all Google Calendar data and revokes TimeBud's Google access.
Remove Sign in with Apple
Deleting your account revokes it for you. You can also check it yourself: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple, and look for TimeBud.
