  • We use analytics cookies only when analytics is allowed.

  • The iOS app uses no cookies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how it is used.

This policy covers the TimeBud website (usetimebud.app) and the web app (i.usetimebud.app). TimeBud is operated by Sora Bon, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information more broadly.

We use no advertising cookies. We don't sell your data.

Essential and optional cookies

Essential cookies are needed to sign you in and to remember your choice. We can't switch them off for you, because TimeBud wouldn't work. You can block them in your browser, but then you can't sign in.

Analytics cookies are optional. They help us count visits and see which parts of TimeBud are useful. They come from PostHog, which uses EU servers. We don't use them for advertising. Our analytics records only events we name ourselves. It doesn't record sessions, and it doesn't capture clicks automatically. See our Privacy policy.

When analytics is on

  • In Canada, the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics is off until you say yes on the cookie banner. Nothing loads unless you choose "Allow analytics".
  • Elsewhere: analytics is on, and you can turn it off in "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
  • If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC): we treat it as a "no" to analytics, wherever you are, and we don't show the cookie banner.

We check which region your visit comes from to decide which of these applies.

Change your choice

  • Click Cookie settings in the site footer. You can change your choice there at any time.
  • Or use your browser's settings to block or delete cookies. Each browser does this a bit differently. Look in its help pages.
  • If you're signed in, your choice is also saved to your account.

If you delete cookies, we forget your choice, and we may ask you again. We remember your choice for 180 days.

The iOS app

The iOS app uses no cookies. It stores your settings on your device.

In the app, devices set to Canada, the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland are asked once about usage analytics. It is off until you tap "Yes". Everyone has a "Usage analytics" switch in Profile.
